We love being able to continue seeing members of our community after graduation, and one way we do this is through Senior Camp Run-a-Muk! This summer program is offered for graduates of Faith Academy and older siblings of current Faith Academy students. It is held in a separate building in Old Webster that is a short distance away from the school. The program is primarily for elementary aged students, but we do have middle school students who come to camp and often take on bigger responsibilities.
Rather than the two week sessions of Faith Academy’s summer program, Senior Camp Run-a-Muk has one week sessions and does try to have some overlap in topics with the younger students. They attend swim days and field trips together. A similar summer curriculum to Faith Academy allows them to explore topics more in depth, provide help and guidance when visiting with the younger students, and lets them learn about other topics that interest them.

We offer these elementary aged children more responsibility and choice in their day. Snack becomes available at certain times in the morning and afternoon and the students are allowed to browse through the available snacks when they are hungry. Their independent time can be spent working on a project or craft related to the session topic or they can choose to spend it socializing, playing games, or using any of the supplies available to them on the shelves. These often include puzzles, art supplies, embroidery, books, and board games.
Quiet time is implemented for 30 minutes each day to allow the children some time to work or read quietly.
