Birthday Celebrations

A student’s birthday is a perfect opportunity to tell them what a gift they are to their family, school community, and the world.  We celebrate each birthday with a beautiful Montessori ritual.  We look at photos from each year of their life and share personal stories about them.  Parents often join in the celebration to further personalize the celebration.

Holiday Program

We have a unique holiday program each December in which the students have the opportunity to display their dramatic talents. The audience is entertained with a dance recital, group performances, and a play! Our holiday program showcases all the creative talents of Montessori children.

 

Celebrating Diversity

We celebrate diversity daily at Faith through discussions of different cultures in our society and around the world.  We promote an understanding of other cultures through firsthand experiences in the classroom.  We encourage and welcome parents to share their own special religious or cultural traditions with our school community. Throughout the years, we have enjoyed many presentations including Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Irish, Native American, Mexican, Swedish, and African American cultures.

Promoting a loving acceptance of differences is our way of carrying out Dr. Maria Montessori’s goal of achieving world peace.
